Complaining by Gopis of Krishna Stealing Butter

1. The Gopis or cowherd girls of Gokul were very fond of Krishna. They knew that he was a special child with special gifts.
2. They wanted to see him as much as possible as he was very lovable.
3. So they kept butter in pots at home so that Krishna would come and steal it.
4. Krishna did come and steal the butter but they were never able to catch him red handed.
5. This made the Gopis worried and they continued keeping pots of butter, hoping that Krishna would visit their houses.
6. In truth Krishna did not steal butter as a negative gesture. It was one of his Lilas that was an amusement for the different Gods in heaven.
7. It is a testament to the mischievous innocence of all children which should never be perceived negatively by adults.
